An evolving multi-service contract with ScottishPower has been extended to include mailroom and switchboard services.

It’s the latest extension in a proud 20-year relationship with the company, and will involve 18 new employees across seven UK sites.

RRD started working with ScottishPower in 1996, providing print-room services with a team of just four. Today, it provides everything from design and reprographics, to production and fulfilment, across all transactional print and direct mail.

“I’m delighted to announce this new service for one of our key clients and would like to give a very warm welcome to our extended on site team,” said Tina Kinsella, RRD’s Director for Telco and Utilities.

“It is well-deserved recognition of the confidence ScottishPower have in us to deliver efficient, cost-effective services that allows them to focus on their core activities.”

Although this is a new service from RRD, the five-year contract recognises the skills and experience of the existing on-site team. Among the 12 permanent staff and six temps, many will be transferring to RRD via a TUPE agreement ― including one stalwart who has been in the ScottishPower mailroom for 36 years.

Ross Francis, Contract Manager at ScottishPower added “ScottishPower is happy to have extended our relationship with RR Donnelley through the Mailroom & Switchboard contract. We look forward to seeing the same high performance & increased efficiencies across these services as we see within our Print Services and feel this award reflects the faith we have in RR Donnelley to do this.”
